No other system gets information instantly and securely to the responders on the scene.  With slower and more cumbersome systems, precious time is lost while emergency workers call an information center or logon to the internet.  And more time is lost while they write it all down.  Then of course they may have to tell it over again to the doctor at the Hospital.
