Aculert
is the family safety and medical information network used
by the Newport Beach Fire Department. Paramedics use it to
gain instant access to a patient's lifesaving information
at home, at the scene of an accident, or at the hospital.
After a Newport Beach resident enrolls in Aculert and an emergency occurs, their vital safety and medical information is conveyed within seconds to paramedics. When members travel outside Aculert service areas, Aculert responds rapidly to safety information requests from emergency personnel and hospitals across the U.S. via phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Newport Beach Fire Chief Timothy Riley says:
"Aculert
is a time saver--and in many cases, a lifesaver. We hope
all Newport Beach residents join."
